To conduct an SEO audit on your website, I like to recommend the following steps. Or think of them as buckets with a few steps each!

  1. Check the website’s technical SEO:
  • Verify that the website is using HTTPS for secure connections
  • Check for crawl errors and broken links using a tool such as Google Search Console
  • Test the website’s speed and optimize it if necessary using a tool such as Google PageSpeed Insights
  1. Analyze the website’s on-page SEO:
  • Check the website’s title tags and meta descriptions to ensure that they are unique, relevant, and compelling
  • Verify that the website has a clear hierarchy and relevant headings (H1, H2, etc.)
  • Check for keyword usage in the website’s content and ensure that it is natural and relevant
  1. Evaluate the website’s off-page SEO:
  • Check the website’s backlink profile using a tool such as Ahrefs or SEMrush to ensure that it has a diverse and high-quality set of backlinks
  • Check for any unnatural or spammy backlinks and consider disavowing them using Google Search Console
  1. Check for mobile-friendliness:
  • Test the website’s mobile-friendliness using a tool such as Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test
  • Ensure that the website has a responsive design and is easy to use on mobile devices
  1. Analyze the website’s user experience:
  • Check the website’s overall design and layout to ensure that it is visually appealing and easy to navigate
  • Test the website’s forms, buttons, and other interactive elements to ensure that they are functioning properly

By following the steps in this simple SEO audit, you can identify any issues with the website’s SEO and take steps to improve its visibility and ranking in search results.

I am a fan of Olive Branch Digital! They have an excellent reputation. Fenton cares deeply about his projects. It is easy to refer business when the product and attention to detail is pristine!”
